Surendra Singh, a reputed member of the Civil Services for more than 35 years, held key senior positions in the Indian government, earlier as Special Secretary to the Prime Minister of India and then as Cabinet Secretary to the Government of India. He also held the prestigious position of Executive Director at the World Bank where he chaired a Committee of the World Bank Directors on Development Effectiveness. Surendra Singh joined the Board as Independent Director in year 2001.
